Welcome to AdamCostanzo.com!

This site serves as a hub for my professional presence on the web. I’m currently a professional assistant professor of History at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. In 2012, I completed my doctorate in American History at at the University of California, Davis.

My research examines the relationship between the District of Columbia and the federal government in the early republic period and the effects of that relationship on the development of the national capital. The result of that work will be released on April 1st in the form of a book called George Washington’s Washington: Visions for the National Capital in Early Republic America

It is published by the University of Georgia Press as a part of the Early American Places Series.

In the classroom at TAMU-CC, I teach both halves of the United States history survey as well as Ancient History and the occasional graduate course on early America.
